Last updated: 23 October 2026 · Version: 1.0 (closed testing)
These terms are the agreement between you and Ottr, United Arab Emirates (“we”, “us”) for using the Ottr app. While Ottr is being tested there is no registered company yet; when there is, its name replaces this line and we tell you in the app. By creating an account or using Ottr you accept these terms and our privacy policy. If you don’t, please don’t use the app.
Ottr is still being tested. It may have bugs, change without notice, lose data or stop working, and features may be added or removed. Please don’t rely on it as your only record of your money.
You must be 18 or over and use Ottr for your own money only. Ottr is designed for people living in the UAE.
Ottr helps you record and understand your own spending. You can add entries by hand and, on Android, let Ottr record transactions from your bank’s alerts.
Ottr is not a bank and not a payment service. It never asks for your bank login, holds no money, and cannot move, send or spend money for you. Ottr is not licensed or regulated by the Central Bank of the UAE or any other financial regulator.
Otto, the assistant in Ottr, writes its answers with an AI model. Answers can be wrong or incomplete. Ottr’s own figures come from your entries; check anything important against them and against your bank. If Otto says something wrong or inappropriate, please tell us at ottrsupport@gmail.com.
Ottr, including Otto, gives you information about your own money. It is not financial, investment, tax, accounting or legal advice. Decisions about your money are yours; for advice, speak to a qualified professional.
Ottr’s totals are only as good as the entries behind them. Automatic capture can miss a transaction, read one wrongly or record it twice.
Your bank statement is the authority, not Ottr. Check Ottr’s figures against it before relying on them, and treat totals as a helpful estimate, not an official record.
Don’t try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the app or its server, use it to reach anyone else’s data, or use it for anything unlawful.
Keep your account details and your phone secure. If you think someone else has used your account, tell us at ottrsupport@gmail.com.
Our privacy policy explains how we handle your information: https://draupnir-studio.github.io/legal/privacy-policy. You can delete your account at any time; the privacy policy explains how.
Ottr is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don’t promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or capture every transaction.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from using Ottr or being unable to use it, including any financial decision made on figures shown in the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we update the date and version above and tell you in the app. You can stop using Ottr at any time. We may suspend or end the service, especially while it is being tested.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of Dubai decide any dispute. This does not affect any rights you have under the consumer laws of the country where you live.
